This Samidori single cultivar matcha is sourced directly from the Sakata family, a 6th-generation tea farm in Kumiyama, Kyoto, Japan. Every leaf is 100% hand-picked, carefully processed into tencha, and stone-milled to preserve its vibrant color, aroma, and depth of flavor.
What makes this matcha truly special is its origin. The Sakata family grows and processes the tea entirely on-site, producing their own tencha in a factory built beside their home—an uncommon level of craftsmanship and traceability that can be tasted in every cup.
Smooth, umami-rich, and naturally sweet, this matcha is ideal for both traditional preparation and modern rituals.
